September 2008, Revenger trophy presentation

Long running Southampton Boat show exhibiter Mike Sloggett of Revenger Boat Company presented John Caulcutt and David Allenby
with a trophy for the 1st Outboard powered boat to finish the Round Britain powerboat race.
Their raceboat is the Revenger 32 foot stepped hull RIB, which is the latest in Revengers range and competed alongside a similar
twin diesel 32, a 29 stepped hull twin outboard RIB along with a veteran Revenger 25 sportscruiser which competed in the 1984 Round Britain race.
All four completed the course out of 48 starters.

Revenger Boat Company launches the first Touring RIB

The Revenger RIB Tourer 31, a brand new concept in RIB design and use. The RIB Tourer combines all the advantages of a rigid inflatable boat with the comfort, speed, facilities and range of a quality Sportsboat.

The Revenger Boat Company has been building power boats for over 25 years and has long been admired for its fast, robust, and stylish RIB's. Now, the Company is using its power heritage to produce a powerful RIB with a proven hull, seven chamber, Hypalon, tapered tube collar, GRP full overboard self-draining deck and inboard engine options.

But this RIB has something more - it offers the deep, safe, practical cockpit of a Sportsboat and a console which not only gives great protection for the driver and navigator from a large wrap-around windscreen but also reveals a secret. Behind the beautifully crafted GRP door is an interior space which can be equipped with a toilet in either chemical or sea variants, a washbasin and provide an ideal place to hang wet weather gear or a smart change of clothes. This RIB Tourer is perfect for having fun on the water but also for arriving in style and comfort at your destination!

The Revenger RIB Tourer 31 also offers as standard:
Bowrider seating with large storage lockers under each seat.
Deck stowage hatch to access full depth of hull.
Electrically operated drop-bottom bolster seating for driver and navigator.

SEPTEMBER 2005. New success for Revenger 29 Stepped Hull

Revenger 29 Stepped Hull, Panos Tsikopoulos and Vassilis Pateras continue their successful presence in Greek open sea races. Under excellent weather conditions and with 25 competitors the team easily took the second place at the GREEK OPEN SEA RACE which took place in Crete on September 25th, 2005. Revenger 29S wears 2 Mercury Optimax 250 XS and run three rounds covering 62 miles by the total time of 56:54:53.

It is very important for us that although this boat was purchased for leisure it exceeds our expectations as a racing boat since she has reached up to 77 knots!

The same crew and boat have successfully participated in Greek races, each winning twice the first and the second places.

On behalf of the Greek Agency of Revenger we would like to congratulate the driver Mr. Panos Tsikopoulos and Navarino Telecom, the co-driver Mr. Vassilis Pateras, the mechanic Mr. Aggelos Karalis and Mr. Andreas Magoulas for the technical support. We look forward for their next success.

JUNE 2003. Revenger RIB smashes Round Britain Record!

On Monday 16th June 2003 the team at Revenger Boat Company, celebrated an incredible milestone for the company. One of its rigid inflatable boats (RIB's) smashed the under 30 foot World record for a Round Britain circumnavigation, beating the existing time by 9hrs 43mins. The time, recorded by an official RYA timekeeper, was just 33hrs 11min 04secs.

In near perfect conditions the Revenger RIB powered by twin Yanmar diesels and crewed by Neil McGrigor, Tony Jenvey and Simon Rogers, also beat the 30 - 50 foot World record by 4hrs 38mins.

The Revenger Boat Company has been building successful cruising RIBS since 1994 but their hulls were born from a race heritage and in the last 5 years Revenger RIB's have also been a feature on race podiums round the world. With their robust build and racing pedigree it seemed only a matter of time before a Revenger would be aimed at the Round Britain record.

When Neil McGrigor and Tony Jenvey purchased a Revenger the fate of the record was sealed. They formed a three-man team that included a past World Champion power boater, an International Yacht Designer and an Engineer and Logistics expert. Their combined skills proved vital in overcoming the problems that were encountered on route.

Speaking at the finish line, off Lymington, Neil McGrigor said, "The Revenger RIB was fantastic. We couldn't have asked for more from her".

It has also been confirmed that the team have taken two further records, sponsored by Marina Developments Ltd. The MDL Round Britain Challenge Trophy Open Class Under 30 foot and The MDL Round Britain Challenge Trophy Open Class Under 50 foot.

All results await the final ratification from the RYA (Royal Yachting Association) and UIM (Union Internationale Motonautique)
