SELF DRAINING DECKS - EXPLAINED

The self-draining decks are a standard feature aboard all Revenger RIBs. Self-draining means that any water on the deck will drain aft and out through two transom mounted non-return scuppers.
There are no pumps involved, no battery drainage, and therefore complete peace of mind that the RIBs bilges will remain dry while afloat even in the heaviest of rain showers.

One of the two transom non-return valves in action on a 760. This scupper is well clear of the water, the inboard version will be underwater but still works just the same. Scupper

Left - Inboard and Outboard well versions.

The water on the deck flows aft to the drain outlets on each corner of the aft bench seat.
The water passes down to the transom scuppers between the tubes and the sides of the outboard well or inboard engine box.

Right - 715 & 760 versions.

The scuppers are lower into the water on a heavier inboard Revenger but they will still open when the pressure behind the ball is enough to open the valve and release the deck water.
